Andrews 5 Speed gears are made from high nickel alloy and heat treated and shot-peened to give maximum durability and strength. Also, where applicable, lead-in ramps have been machined into most gears to improve shifting and reduce wear on drive dogs and drive slots.
*Note that 1994 FXR, Dyna, Softail and Touring models produced for the European market were equipped with the common 1995-2006 style "Low Noise" or "High-Contact" second, third, fourth and fifth gears. These Andrews gears can be used in those and all 1995-2006 models when installed as a matching pair for mainshaft and countershaft.

This set of first gears provides true close ratio shifting into second gear at peak RPM. The gears add 5 MPH of usable speed to the first gear.
